As the new year approaches, people tend to make new year resolutions, some decide to eat less, exercise more.
Some have some scores to settle with some people before the year runs out. Some plan to get rid of some bad habits like smoking and drinking, avoid some toxic relationships, make new friends, improve one’s life, get better education, relocate to a place of greener pastures, the list goes on and on.
Whatever your plan or focus maybe, make sure God is in it.
Remember it is said, “man proposes but God disposes”.
Let God be your guide through his Son Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Make a decision to seek God first in everything starting from this very moment, don’t wait till the new year.
The Bible says in Matt. 6: 33
‘But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you’.
Remember Matt 16: 26, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”.
One day we shall depart this world and all its fancies and fantasies, and we shall carry nothing with us, none of our wealth, property, family, best friends or enemies.
We will all appear before the judgement seat of Christ as tha Bible said in 2 Cor. 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad”.
There will be no excuse rather too many regrets.
This is the time to get ready and prepared for that day, so that you won’t be taken unawares, and you won’t cry had I known, I would have done things differently. May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

PRAYER
Heavenly father, we give you thanks and praise for your goodness and mercy towards us all through this year which is about to end.
We thank you for your sustenance, your protection, your grace and your love.
We commit the coming new year into your able hands.
We trust you Lord and we submit and surrender our lives, family, career and endeavors into your hands. See us through our God, may your Holy Angels protect and guide us, may the Holy Spirit saturate us with fresh fire and anointing, may your hedge of protection over us never be broken in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
