But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you“. (Matt 6:33 KJV).

The above scripture verse is so clear. In all things we are told to seek the kingdom of God first and every other thing we desire shall be provided for us. What a great promise!

Most of the time we find ourselves seeking things first instead of the kingdom.
Some of us try to bargain with God. Oh! God, if you do this for me then I will serve you. If you give me that car, that husband, that wife, that house, that baby my heart longs for, then I will follow you.

That type of prayer is praying in reverse. We want the thing first, but he said seek his kingdom first.

How is your prayer life?
How is your conversation with God? Is it filled with God, please give me this, give me that or Lord, may your perfect will be done in my life?

How is your walk with God? Are you following the footsteps of Jesus Christ?

What is in your priority list? Is it God’s kingdom, his will, or your own hearts desires? Are you seeking blessings or the one who blesses?
This is a time of reflection.

Prayer.
Heavenly father, we thank you today for your unfailing love towards us. We thank you for the gift of your son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Father, we pray today that your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray that your perfect will be done in our lives. We ask you ABBA for the grace and strength to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, and every other thing shall be added unto us according to your word in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
