“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Romans 8:35 KJV)
Dearly beloved in Christ Jesus, do you see yourself as so much in love with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, that you are ready to die for him, no matter the situation?
This is what the scripture is telling us, nothing shall separate us from the love of God, not hunger, not sickness, not even the threat of death.
The moment we get to that point of saying, “If I perish, I perish like Esther”. (Esther 4:16).
Or like the three Hebrew young men who did not fear king Nebuchadnezzar’s burning furnace, they were ready to perish in the fire instead of offending God and bowing down to an idol. They were eventually thrown into the fiery furnace but did not die, rather God delivered them.(Daniel 3:19-27)
Daniel chose to be thrown into a den of lions rather than offend God. (Daniel 6:16-24).
Joseph chose rather to be thrown into prison than defile himself with Potiphar’s wife. (Genesis 39:7-23).
In all the above Bible verses, the hands the almighty God prevailed. He delivered his servants from the threats of death and none of them perished according to the enemy’s plan but God almighty who said he will never leave us nor forsake us was able to deliverer them according to his word.
It is time to be determined that it does not matter what happens in your life or around you, there is no going back and no backsliding by the grace of almighty God. You are sticking with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
This is no longer a time of running from place to place, wavering in faith, powerless in prayer, and having pity party.
Pursuing money and worldliness cannot get us into heaven.
Jesus Christ is coming soon.
No more complacency and compromise.
We have everything to gain by following Jesus Christ and everything to lose if we follow the world.
God is real, Jesus is real, heaven is real.
hell exists and you don’t want to go there at all. Hell is not made for mankind, it is a place of torment. Those who go there, made the choice by rejecting Jesus Christ. We are given free Will to choose.
In Eph 6:10, we are encouraged to be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Our faith in God and how much we love Him is tested and tried when we are at a point between life and death. When an agent of satan with a gun or cutlass or whatsoever dangerous weapon and said to you, “deny Jesus Christ and live or else you will die”.
That is when the reality sets in.
In the first place, no one has the power to kill you unless God permits it.
As believers we are falsely accused all the time, and face all sorts of persecution, but we choose for the sake of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ not to defend ourselves but to hand them over to God almighty, because the Lord himself said, “….vengeance is mine, I will repay”. (Rom 12:19).
May you be strengthened to know that you are not alone in this heavenly race.
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. (Eph 6:10)
It is my sincere prayer that you will choose Jesus Christ whenever you are confronted with the temptation of denying your faith in him. That you will not allow any mundane thing to separate you from the love of God. That you look forward with great expectation for the great promises of God and his eternal reward in heaven in Jesus mighty name. Amen! Be blessed.
