What is the meaning of unwavering? It means unshakable, firm, steadfast and much more.

To have unwavering faith is to be strongly established in one’s belief that nothing will move him/her. That is the type of faith God wants from us his children.

How is your faith today?
Is it unyielding to the outside pressures even in the midst of the greatest storms of life?
Can you always say like Job, I know my Redeemer lives, (Job 19:25), or are you easily swayed by the circumstances of life?

The book of Hebrews tells us to believe without wavering.

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)”. (Heb 10:23 KJV).

Is it not amazing that all we are required to do is believe God through his word without doubting?

The Bible tells us that Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him as righteousness. (Rom 4:3).

Faith is the key.
We are told that without faith it is impossible to please God. (Heb11:6)

James said,
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed”. (James 1:6).

Jesus Christ himself said if we have faith as little as a mustard seed we can command a mountain to move and it will be obey and there shall be nothing impossible.

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you”. (Matt 17:20).

With the same mustard seed faith, a sycamine tree can be uprooted according to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you”. (Luke 17:6 ).

If only we can believe without doubting.
God himself is looking after us. He said we should cast all our cares upon him for he cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7)

Why then do we fear?
Fear is clearly the opposite of faith.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”. (2 Tim1:7).

Peter when he saw Jesus walking on water asked that’s he should come to him and Jesus said come, and Peter walked on water but the moment he looked away from Jesus Christ and looked at the raging wind he became fearful and began to sink, Jesus rebuked him for his little faith. (Matt 14:26-31)

Another word hear is to remain focused on Jesus Christ, he is our anchor, our strong tower, our refuge, our protector and our strength, as believers we cannot function without him.

We are to believe not only in Jesus Christ but also in the Father who loves us so much and sent him to save us.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”. (John 5:24).

The great promises of God cannot fail.
He has promised us eternal life, if we hear his word and believe.
We need to believe him and trust him with our whole heart.
God is not a man that he should lie. If he said it, he will surely bring it to pass, all we need do is believe without doubting or wavering.

It is my prayer that you will become or remain strongly rooted in your faith in Christ Jesus, not minding what the enemy throws at you and at the end your tears will be wiped away and it will all be worth the sacrifice.

Almighty God, we thank you for your love towards us and the gift of your son Jesus Christ.
Lord we ask that you increase our faith in you, to believe in your word without doubting and to obey you without complaining in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
