O Lord , thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
Isaiah 25:1 KJV.

I will worship you forever, I will serve you all the days of my life in Jesus mighty name. Amen!

This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Our God is so awesome that I decided to use this opportunity to Praise him.

Most of the time we are too busy with family, work, friends, etc. that we don’t even give God, the well deserved worship and adoration.

We may even be engrossed with church activities and yet not paying attention to God.

Yes! We are doing things for God yet he is not in it.

Remember the story of Mary and Martha?

Martha was busy running around in the kitchen, trying to serve Jesus, doing all she could to present the best but yet Jesus was not impressed. Why?

I would say Martha was trying to impress Jesus with her service but at the same time her heart was not right.

We need to learn how to worship God even in serving others. If Martha was worshipping as she was serving, she would not have time to complain about her sister, Mary as we read in Luke 10:40.

“But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me”.

She must have been begrudging her sister, Mary and murmuring about her not helping in the kitchen before she eventually let it out to the master, and the master replied,

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Luke 10:41‭-‬42

How would your service to God be rated at the long run?

Have you chosen the good part like Mary or are you a begrudging workaholic?

Jesus Christ said,
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matt 7:21‭-‬22 KJV.

It is very important and better to hear well done good and faithful servant than to hear depart from me you worker of iniquity.

Jesus himself said many will say, Lord I did this and that in your name but he reply that he knew them not, according to the text below.

“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity”. Matt 7:23.

It is scary, isn’t it?

God is not mocked, whatever a man sows, the same he shall reap. Gal 6:7.

Don’t pretend before God. Don’t play tricks on God. He knows everything even your most secret thoughts.
