For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV.
Yes, we are saved by grace, not by our hard work, not by our righteousness, not because we are so good or so holy.
Isaiah 64:6 says, our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.
We are saved simply by the grace of almighty God, who saw our wretchedness in sin and had compassion on us and sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ who knew no sin, to leave his glorious throne in heaven and come down to earth to die for us.
Jesus Christ obeyed his father and came to save us. He endured all kinds of insults and abuse, false accusations, torments and stripes in order to save us. He never boasted of his position in heaven with the father, he was humble all through unto death. Phil 2:5-8.
None of us should boast of anything.
None of us should brag about anything.
We came into this world with nothing and when we die, we are taking nothing with us. Eccl 5:15. Job 1: 21.
We need to humble ourselves as we are told in 1Pt 5:6.
We need to surrender all we are, all we have, all we think we have achieved unto God almighty.
Every good thing we have is from God, so what is the need for boasting or bragging.
Even the air we breathe is from God, the ability to wake up every time is from God, the day he says it’s over, there and then it ends.
Then we must give account to him, the all seeing and the all knowing God, from whom nothing is hidden and there will be no hiding place.
Are you ready to meet him?
So take time today and for the rest of your life to give God Praise, worship and adoration in Jesus mighty name.
God deserves all our Praise, honor, worship adoration and thanksgiving.
If you are not doing that already, start from today and make it a habit to worship God in Spirit and in truth.
God bless you.
