Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord ; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Someone may ask, what does it mean to delight yourself in the Lord?

To take delight simply means to find pleasure in, to rejoice in him, to find peace in God. When we do that the Bible says the Lord will give us the desires of our heart.

Many people find delight in material things and worldly things, eg power, fame, money, Authority etc.

In Matt 6:33 we are told to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added to us. That is good health, family, jobs, finances etc.

When we delight in the Lord, we desire to spend more time with him through his Word, we learn to trust him, we worship him, we obey him.
